It is a composition where spirituality is the message of a painter led to interpret his own visionary essence in a positive key. As can be seen from the first glance, this pictorial layout was created without retouching or second thoughts. Examining it with due critical interest, one cannot help but notice how muchi t represents the fruit of an intuition, which is expressed on the canvas with executive sensitivity.

The face of the Virgin Mary stands out in all its sweetness against a monochromatic background, becoming the bearer of a profound and intimate spirituality. In this refined composition everything is played on a well-considered and symbolic chromatic choice, where the large backgrounds of the blu background are functional to bringing out the sacred face, which declines from yellow to orange.

Marco Salvatore Mallamaci creates this Marian portrait on a dark blue background, which represents the sky, from which Mary’s face emerges like a sun. The Madonna is depicted stylized, flat and with a rigid frontality derived from Byzantine models.
Characteristic is his rapid work, with quick and almost hinted strokes, a thin and delicate drawing, with ancient characters, if we like, that is, without depth and with intense and brilliant colours.

A very talented artist, Marco Salvatore Mallamaci executes this portrait of the Virgin Mary in a clear yet stylized way.
The visual effects are delicate and highly refined, with coloristic and formal refinement. The blue and gold tones bring to mind Byzantine painting, and the shape also partially reproduces the features of religious icons.
